Ponderosa Pine, Western Yellow Pine
This majestic NW native conifer tree has 8" long yellow-green to dark green needles. The young bark is almost black, turning cinnamon-orange with age. The seed cones are 5" long. It prefers dry soils and is an important timber tree. (Coniferous Trees)
