This multi-stemmed deciduous shrub has an upright spreading habit and smooth silver-gray bark. The dark green oval leaves turn bright yellow in the fall. Stunning clusters of white flowers appear before the leaves emerge in early spring. Blue berries are abundant in late spring and are excellent eaten fresh or for making jams and jellies. Self-pollinating.
